Bombardier Transportation has signed a contract with the Clark County Department of Aviation for a new Automated People Mover (APM) system at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. The contract, valued at approximately $43 million US (34 million euros), includes the supply of six CX-100 vehicles and associated electrical and mechanical equipment for the 366-metre (1200-foot) shuttle system. The APM is scheduled for completion in January 2011.

Bombardier Transportation's facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will be responsible for the design, supply and systems engineering and integration of the driverless APM, including signalling, communications, and power supply systems, as well as platform screen doors. The new CX-100 fleet will incorporate additional features, such as on-board security cameras and a flight information system.
